Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Bear. He is an amazing, 2 year old, 90 lb. black lab mix. Bear came to us from a wretched shelter and was due to be ‘put to sleep’. But, he got lucky and is now in a wonderful Lucky Lab foster home and enjoying life. His foster mom describes him as “a big sweet lovable boy – a gentle giant for sure.” He would be classified as low energy. Bear is doing great with his 70 lb canine foster and also his 10 lb canine foster. He spends a lot of his time playing with his canine buddies and retrieving the toy is his favorite game - but his buddy always seems to get there first. That is okay though, he is having fun chasing it. Bear is great with everyone and does awesome with his foster mom’s 3 year old grandson. He is also learning some commands – he knows sit and down and is working on stay. Bear, because of his size, is pretty strong when walking on a leash, but he is trying to do better. He is also pretty good with the kitties and doesn’t pay them much attention. Bear would love nothing more than to have a wonderful family to call his very own. He would be a great companion for any family, as he has been well socialized with men, women and children. Bear is house trained and crate trained.
Bear is neutered, up to date on all vaccines including rabies, heartworm negative and micro-chipped. He is also on flea and tick preventative and heartworm preventative. If you are interested in learning more about this really great boy, please indicate Bear in the notes section of the online application
