Penny's Story...
Introducing Penny (aka Ms Penny Lane) - an adorable 9-month-old girl who is just waiting for you to stop and say hello!

Penny is a pug/chihuahua mix - with fawn coloring and a lean chihuahua body (weighing in at just under 9 lbs), and a tail that isn't always sure whether it wants to curl or wag.

While she definitely can be active (she is a real morning-pug), Penny loves cuddling and being held most of all. She is great with kids, but is a bit wary with other dogs. However, she has warmed up to her foster brother, a Yorkie, and would likely be less intimidated by smaller breeds. Penny is housebroken, and knows to go outside to do her business, even if she usually wants her human to follow her out.

So if you are looking for a sweet little cuddlebug to call your own, apply now, and before long you might have Penny Lane in your ears and in your eyes.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Penny, a Austin Pug/Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug/Chihuahua for sale in Austin, or seeking a Pug/Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug/Chihuahua breeders who help with Pug/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
