Drake's Story...

Allow us to introduce our newest member of HCW, Drake!! Drake is about 6-7 months old and was found as a stay in the coal mines. He had a nasty cut on his back leg and some other scrapes and bruises. Quick trip to vet they got him all fixed and now he is in a foster home recovering. Drake is a very sweet, loving, playful boy. He LOVES other dogs and is in the process of learning to potty outside. You can tell he is very smart and willing to please. If you are interested in making Drake you next family member please follow the link to fill out an adoption application.

Thanks for adopting

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Drake, a Russellville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Russellville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Russellville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Russellville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Russellville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Russellville paves the way for another one to be saved.
