Jimmy's Story...
Meet Jimmy! A true canine rock star, this young lab/shepherd mix is looking for a forever family to call his own. Somewhere between 1 and 2 years old, Jimmy is a classic charmer, a quintessential dog, proof positive of his species’ place as man’s best friend. He is an energetic boy who would thrive in an active home, especially if there was another dog who could be his playmate. Jimmy goes gaga over the company of people, and can’t get enough hugs, belly rubs, and butt scratches. In fact he has been known to sneakily slip his head under your hand when you are not paying attention, in a feeble attempt to force a head scratch. And it works every time! This beautiful boy is both strong and sensitive – what a great combination! And with such brains and beauty, how could anyone resist that face?

Now Jimmy just needs a forever home where he will be loved and kept safe. He promises to return the love for years to come. Would you be willing to make his dreams come true and give him a home? If so, please contact his adoption consultant, Debby, at 440-527-4926 or djg4517@gmail.com for more information. One look in those wonderful lab eyes and you’ll be hooked!

About Our Rescue Group...
The Rescue Inn, Inc. ("TRI") is an Ohio non-profit, foster-based rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of dogs in need.

We are run by a dedicated group of volunteers who are passionate about our four-legged friends. Our mission is to save dogs from high kill shelters and abuse/neglect situations and place those animals into loving and permanent homes. We promote responsible animal ownership and provide medical treatment, foster care and training to unwanted, abandoned, lost or surrendered animals.

Our animals are spayed/neutered, receive appropriate veterinary care and are placed into a safe, secure foster home while waiting for their permanent home. We also strive to work with other area shelters and rescues to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to enhance our rescue mission.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jimmy, a North Olmsted Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever for sale in North Olmsted, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in North Olmsted.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Olmsted already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Olmsted breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Olmsted paves the way for another one to be saved.
