I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Howdy,
I was rescued along with my siblings and mother from the dangerous streets of Houston’s 5th Ward back in September 2012. My sisters and I were then taken to a shelter to be placed for adoption; all my siblings got adopted, except me. This made me really sad, I missed my sisters, but most of all I want a home of my own. The stress of the shelter environment got to me and I started to lick my leg raw. I was then removed from the shelter and came to live with my Foster Mom. Life has been good to me, you should hear the horrors that my mommy went through while living on the streets; oh I forgot my mommy is also fostered by the same lady. So, I am pretty happy right now, my Foster Mom and my mommy take good care of me, but there are many of us in this house and I’d really like more one-on-one attention. I need to move.
I would love to have a house with a backyard where I can run or go on long walks. I love to cuddle and I get along with other dogs and cats. I have played with humans of all ages, and they always say that I am pretty cool. I am tall and slender, like a super model! I am about 10 months old (5/2013), 38 lbs, spayed, current on all shots, and HW negative. I am very playful and super sweet. My foster mom says I am "high energy" and need daily exercise and lots of room to run. I am very smart, but most of all I am super sweet.
I live in Houston but we can arrange travel to anywhere in the country. My adoption fee is $125 plus transportation costs if required, I can either go by land or air, it just depends how quickly you want to have me in yours arms! Please fill out an application on me (http://forgottendogs.org) or get in touch with my foster mom, Lyda, at 713-416-2118 for details.

Rescue Group Info...
We rescue in a low income area of Houston called the 5th Ward. We founded Forgotten Dogs of the 5th Ward Project about a year ago to address what we saw as an obvious need to help the many stray dogs we were seeing in there. We set up feeding stations and network and pull as many as we can when a foster home or no-kill rescue group says they can take them in. One of our goals is education and we provide residents with vouchers that cover the complete cost of having their animals altered and vaccinated against rabies. In addition, we provide other vaccinations and worming in the field free of charge. Since November 2011 we have grown in size and have rescued over 250 dogs and a few cats from the area. We are launching a program called Habitat for Hounds through which we will donate doghouses and blankets to residents for their dogs that are kept outside. Our website is forgottendogs.org and we are a 501c3.
We do not have a regular adoption site at this time, but stay tuned to our facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/ForgottenDogs5) for our upcoming events!
Our adoption fee ranges from $100 to $150. We have an online application and a contract and all dogs/puppies are either spayed/neutered prior to adoption if old enough or arrangements are made to have them spayed/neutered afterwards.
