Dixie's Story...
Dixie is a great dog! She's being fostered in the country where she can enjoy a big back yard. She loves to play with other dogs and spends a couple of hours a day outside. She's 100% house trained and crate trained. She was living on her own when her foster family met her -- she's adapted quickly to the good life :). She enjoys being with the family, car rides, and the company of the other animals in the household. Dixie learns quickly, too! She's already been leash trained and sits down when she's asked. She loves having a buddy to play with! She's a happy girl! Dixie is heartworm negative, spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and has been examined by her vet. She's a healthy young dog and is ready for a home of her own. Dixie has been estimated to be 8 months old and weighs 35 pounds. To speak with her foster mom, meet her, and complete an application, please email Dixie is fostered near Guntersville, AL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixie, a Marietta Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
