Trista's Story...
Trista and her littermates were at an animal control facility where their days were about to come to an end. Thankfully, one of our wonderful foster moms pulled them out of the facility to foster them through Homes For Pets. Here's what Trista's foster mom has to say about this little cutie:

"Trista is the biggest purr baby! She seeks me out immediately when I enter the room. She lives to have belly and ear rubs and to lie in my lap. She is definitely an attention seeker and lets you know when she wants some loving. Trista and three littermates were in an animal control facility where their days were numbered. She was so happy to leave the shelter with her three siblings, and shows her gratitude every day. She would make a wonderful addition to any home!"

Trista's adoption fee of $75 includes spay, vaccines, deworming and testing for FeLV/FIV.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trista, a Schertz Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Schertz, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Schertz.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Schertz already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Schertz breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Schertz paves the way for another one to be saved.
