Lauren's Story...
Lauren is a very sweet & adoring 2 1/2 year old Golden mix. She has the most beautiful brown eyes & a white chest with four white paws. She is house trained & knows how to sit. She sits patiently for her food & is working on other commands. She does not jump on the furniture & likes to sleep on a comfy doggy bed. She gets along great with the two resident Goldens and does not bother the kitty. She also loves the children in the home (ages 8 & 10) and is very gentle with them & enjoys getting their hugs.

She has learned to ride nicely in the car & either sits or lies down in the back seat. She does like to go on walks & does pretty well on the leash. She does not pull but sometimes lags a little behind.

Lauren does have some separation anxiety issues which she is working on. She also does not like to be crated. Because of this, we are looking for someone who spends their day at home, and who is willing to work & have patience with her so she learns that the world is not a scary place!

Lauren would also benefit from having another confident dog in the home to help show her the ropes.

Lauren will make some family her very best friend if given the patience to do so. She is very loving, loyal & kind!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lauren, a Denver Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Denver, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
