Blue's Story...
Blue is a well-mannered friendly girl who, until recently lived with an elderly gentleman who can no longer keep her. Her new foster family says Blue is very loving and has a happy demeanor. She loves people and gets along great with the other dogs and cats in her foster home. Blue has not been around small children, so we don't know how she would be with them, but she does not like loud noises (thunder, firecrackers...) and might be overwhelmed by loud children. Blue is blind in one eye but compensates well for her impaired vision. We do not consider her a special needs dog. Blue comes when called, knows basic commands, is well-behaved (does not chew on inappropriate objects) in the house, and is an all around good girl. Please call if you can give this sweet girl a good home.

Note: Blue has been listed on our website as part of our List an Animal Program and is not in the custody of Four Peaks Animal Rescue (4PAR). As such, the description above was derived from the description provided by his current owner. 4PAR has no first hand knowledge as to the accuracy of the description.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blue, a Scottsdale Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
