My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Beau/Ranger is a handsome 4 year old blue merle Australian Shepherd male. This fellow weighs in at about 40lbs. He’s very shy and timid with new people until he gets to know them better, and then becomes very affectionate. He loves to give hugs, play with toys and go for walks. Beau has wonderful leash manners and will walk on a loose leash at your side. He also really enjoys car rides and is very well behaved.

Beau gets along well with cats, female dogs, teens and adults, though he does like to chase cats. Beau has not been introduced to children.

He came to rescue after his owner passed away. He was infected with heartworms, but has completed his treatment and is doing well. Our kind donors have paid for his treatment.

This guy is UTD on vaccinations, heartworm preventative and is neutered, as well as microchipped, Beau becomes very anxious during thunderstorms and wears a Thundershirt and likes be tucked into a covered crate to keep him comfortable.
