Gus's Story...
Please give a round of applause and welcome Gus to Heaven Can Wait!! Gus was literally on the "chopping block" at a high kill shelter. We are very thankful that we go to this sweet little fella in time. At first he was very shy and in his shell due to being in the shelter environment. Now that Gus is in a foster home and being shown what love, compassion, and understanding is all about. Every day he opens up more and more and we are starting to see his personality and how awesome he is. In his foster home he is working on house manners, potty training, and crate training. He is LOVES to play with all his furry friends. IF you have any more questions about Gus please let us know.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gus, a Russellville Schnauzer (Standard) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Standard) for sale in Russellville, or seeking a Schnauzer (Standard) dog from a breeder in Russellville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Russellville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Russellville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Standard) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Standard) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Russellville paves the way for another one to be saved.
