Marti's Story...
When Take Me Home implemented and executed a spay day for families in East Los Angeles, we never expected to take home a dog of our own. That’s exactly what happened when we saw Marti darting in and out of traffic hoping, praying, pleading for someone to help her. When our volunteer bent down to scoop her up, Marti nested in deep and never looked back. No chip, no collar and no family to call her own, we promised Marti we would give her the best life and family ever.

This tiny, dark brindle and caramel colored Papillon-mix is so kind. She’s breathtakingly beautiful too – so unique in her coloring! There is not a mean bone in Marti’s body and she is now thriving in a foster home with a big Boxer canine sister and an animal-loving young boy.

Marti is approximately 6 months old and only 6 pounds. She has a HUGE heart and is so fun and playful. She’s also very eager to please and wants nothing more than a forever family to call her own.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Marti, a Santa Monica Papillon puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Papillon for sale in Santa Monica, or seeking a Papillon puppy from a breeder in Santa Monica.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Monica already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Monica breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Papillon breeders who help with Papillon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Monica paves the way for another one to be saved.
