I am already neutered, a special needs pet, and up to date with shots.

Guapo's Story...
Although looks can be deceiving, in Guapo's case, looks tell all. He's cute and round and fuzzy and has a personality to match. Guapo loves to be picked up and will cuddle in your lap but he has his playful side too. He may just be one overgrown kitten. Since Guapo is on a special diet, you'll find him in a cage in the Sun Room. If you're interested in meeting him, just talk to a staff person or a volunteer. Guapo came to ADOPT in December of 2012 from Aurora Animal Control. He was born around December of 2010.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Guapo, a Naperville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Naperville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Naperville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Naperville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Naperville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Naperville paves the way for another one to be saved.
