Bootsie's Story...
Bootsie is a beautiful former feral that is shy initially but is looking for the perfect forever home. As you can see, his left ear is tipped, the mark of a feral cat. We always consider it a badge of honor if a cat that was feral decides they want to become a house cat and give up the feral life.

By no fault of his own, Bootsie needs a new home. He hasn't done anything wrong, it's only that his mom is a rescuer and has too many cats. His dad is seriously ill, so Bootsie needs to find a loving, forever home so his daddy can come home and have home nurses take care of him. And because Bootsie was a former feral, he needs an experienced adopter who understands this really handsome cat is going to be shy at first and take some time to adjust.

Bootsie is still kittenish, and he is hesitant when he first meets people - a trait he learned as a feral. But once he learns who you are? He becomes sweet and playful, wanting to share affection with you. Bootsie also gets along well with other cats and dogs, and he loves to be brushed and sit in your lap.

Bootsie isn't one to be picked up, it frightens him, so it's best to let this handsome boy come to you. But once he's up in your lap? You'll have hours of purrs and affection. The perfect home for Bootsie would be a quiet residence with one other pet where he can bond with it and you and your family.

To adopt him our rules are simple. Bootsie must be an indoor cat, you can't smoke in the home with him, and he can never be declawed.

Bootsie is fully vetted, has been neutered, has all vaccines, is treated for fleas, mites and worms. All he needs now is the perfect forever home. His adoption fee is $80.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bootsie, a Arlington Ragdoll cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Ragdoll for sale in Arlington, or seeking a Ragdoll cat from a breeder in Arlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Arlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Arlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Ragdoll breeders who help with Ragdoll rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Arlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
