Billy Kennel #12's Story...
Billy is a male Beagle who is approximately 2-3yrs old and weighs around 30lbs. He was picked up by animal control as a stray. Billy was on death row until he was picked up on 1/25/13 by Stray Haven to foster for to foster. No medical history came with Billy so he will need to be fully vetted. He needs house training and leash training. He likes dogs of all ages form 5mths to 13yrs and all sizes from 10lb Beagles, 15lb Dachshund to 60 Pits. He likes cats also. He met my neighbor's 7yr old daughter and did fine with her so he should do well with children who appreciate and respect animals. Billy is quite. He likes to climb stairs, chairs, tables, gates, but has not tried to climb the fence in the play yard. He should be watched since he is a climber. He shows no food aggression towards humans nor animals.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Billy Kennel #12, a Dundas Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Dundas, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Dundas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dundas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dundas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dundas paves the way for another one to be saved.
