Rascal's Story...
Rascal is a male shepherd mix who is 5 or 6 months old. He has been neutered and is up to date with his shots. Rascal gets along well with other dogs and likes to play. He is not at all aggressive and enjoys being with people. Rascal was found abandoned and is now looking for his forever home. He would make most anyone a good pet. We don't know whether he likes cats since he isn't near them at the shelter. Rascal lives in Madison, Mississippi, but transport to New England can easily be arranged through Animal Rescue Front. If you are interested in taking Rascal into your forever home, please fill out the adoption form here:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rascal, a Groton German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Groton, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Groton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Groton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Groton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Groton paves the way for another one to be saved.
