Trip's Story...
Trip is a young male Border Collie who came to WBCR from an Idaho shelter, where he was returned by a family who adopted him but couldn’t meet his needs - likely they didn’t know what this breed required! He’s a bigger boy at about 50 pounds, with a gorgeous classic rough coat.

His foster mom has nothing but great things to say about this well-adjusted, sweet, and well-intentioned boy. He is friendly with humans and dogs alike, is super playful, and loves toys. Using reward-based tactics, this sharp and sensitive kiddo is making incredible strides in his training in just a short time. In short – Trip is a gem!

Trip is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and living in a loving foster home near Jackson, WY.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trip, a Glenrock Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Glenrock, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Glenrock.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Glenrock already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Glenrock breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Glenrock paves the way for another one to be saved.
