Petrie's Story...
Three little kittens lost their way…

Petrie, Duckie and Littlefoot are three little kittens who were found together as strays around Glorietta Blvd. with no momma cat in sight.

The vet estimates that they were born in August, making them about 5 months old.

Petrie is a domestic short hair (DSH), black smoke male with ghost tabby markings.

This handsome boy looks you right in the eye and it looks as if he is smiling at you as he pushes in for a pet. Rolling and allorubbing, Petrie lets you know just how much he likes people and pets!

Petrie is still a playful kitten and likes playing with his sister Duckie, cat toys and interactive play with people. At five months old, these kittens have the personality of a kitten, yet have moved past the wild stage.

If you are looking for an adorable little boy kitten who will love you unconditionally, Petrie may be the cat you have been waiting for.

You can meet Petrie at the Coronado Animal Care Facility any day between 9:00am and 4:00pm (except holidays).

If you are interested in adopting Petrie, you must first complete a Cat Adoption Application and meet with a PAWS of Coronado Cat Adoption Counselor.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Petrie, a Coronado Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Coronado, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Coronado.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Coronado already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Coronado breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Coronado paves the way for another one to be saved.
