Paisley's Story...
Wonderful things come in small packages and Paisley is no exception! Barely 13 inches tall, this beautiful 2 y/o is worth the effort it takes to get to know her. Paisley was found running loose on the streets. She was very timid and frightened of everything. New sights, sounds, and new people all sent her running for cover. Socializing this skittish little one has been a project that her foster parents have enjoyed. Early on, Paisley became attached to her foster Dad and became his furry little shadow. From the safety of his lap, she has learned to trust and play with her foster siblings.

Paisley is now an energetic member of the pack and loves chasing around the yard and playing tug of war. At 22 lbs, she is the smallest, but has the confidence to wrestle with the big boys and often can be seen stealing a beloved toy from her bigger brother! Paisley is house broken with the use of a dog door. She crates quietly and still likes to eat in her crate, but prefers to sleep on the bed with her Dad. She has good house manners and rarely gets into anything. She comes quickly when called and really enjoys hearing her name. Clapping and even yelling at football games no longer bother her, but she is still shy when new people are in the house. Paisley walks well on a leash, but will pull away from you if frightened by something, so does best with a secure harness.

Paisley can get noisy when confronted with new sounds, so would not do well in an apartment. She would do best with a furry playmate or older kids to play with. If you are looking for a sweet, loving little cuddle bunny, then Paisley is the one for you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Paisley, a Houston Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Houston, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
