Kobee's Info...
| Breed: | Maine Coon | Color: | Brown Tabby | Age: | Young |
| Sex: | Male | Hair: | Long |
I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with cats.
This boy is a treasure. While Kobee may not be able to produce his "pedigree papers", he has the "look" and many of the qualities of the much loved Maine Coon breed. He's 9 mos. old and still has alot of growing to do...Maine Coons develop slowly, and don't achieve their full size until they are three to five years old.
He is a gentle & good-natured boy...who still retains that kittenish love of play...and has spurts of energy that send him dashing off chasing his feline foster friends. He is very people-oriented. Kobee does not constantly pester you for attention, but prefers to "hang out" with his person & likes to be near . Maine Coons are relaxed and easy-going in just about everything they do and Kobee is no exception. He is grateful for attention and just soaks it up. Kobee likes being brushed & doesn't mind being picked up and held. He also enjoys the company of other cats & is hoping he can share his forever home with another friendly feline. Meet this special fellow upon request at our adoption fair on Capitol Hill/DC on Sunday.

Rescue Group Info...
We are a small, private feline-only rescue group dedicated to the rescue, care and placement of homeless cats and kittens. We do not have a shelter and rely on a group of dedicated foster homes to care for our felines until a "fur-ever" home can be found. We actively promote the importance of spaying and neutering and best practices in companion animal care. The majority of our cats/kittens come from high-kill shelters. We do not receive any government funding and rely on private contributions, 100% of which go to provide medical care, food and supplies.
All of our cats are in private foster homes; therefore, we require an application be completed before setting up appointments to meet them; an application can be e-mailed, faxed or mailed upon request. Adopters must be within a reasonible driving distance to No. VA as we do not ship our animals; we participate in an adoption event held in Wash. DC most Sundays in conjunction with other rescuers. Please e-mail us for specifics.
We strive to make the "purr-fect" match through our interview and application process. Adoption fees include all medical work (FELV/FIV testing, shots; spay/neuter); home visits are required prior to final placement. The majority of our kittens are only available for adoption in pairs or as a companion to another young cat/kitten already in the home.
Northern Virginia/DC/MD; will consider nearby out of area adoptions if adopter is willing to travel to meet us and we are able to enlist the help of a rescue partner for the required homevisit..
