The Henry County Humane Society - Geneseo, IL is a small, NO-Kill Animal Shelter. Our Humane Society is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit agency located at 14606 Roos Hill Road in Geneseo, Illinois, and is operated on donations from the public. We strive to be a passionate advocate for the lives of companion animals by finding quality homes, providing community education, and promoting responsible animal ownership.

Come Meet Our Pets...
We are open every day (365 days a year) from 4pm to 6pm for you to meet and interact with our shelter animals. If that time does not work for you give us a call and we can arrange something. Finding that perfect furever home for our shelter animals is our number one priority. We will always go above and beyond for them.

Our Adoption Process...
Adoption fees are cats $50, unaltered kittens $60, dogs $100, puppies $125.
An adoption application (either on-line at our website or at the shelter) must be filled out and approved to start the adoption process. ALL references (vet and personal) will be checked. ALL pets in your home must be current with all vaccinations and be spay/neutered. If you are approved you will be contacted by phone or email.

We are a no-kill shelter located north of Geneseo, IL. We will adopt out anywhere with an approved application.
