Licorice's Story...
Here’s my story.. “You say you are looking for a petite, silky soft flowing fur, lady cat? That would be me. I am only about two years old and quite friendly, once you show me your bona fides. True, I have had a couple less than stellar adoption attempts, but you should have seen the large dogs in the first home. And the second lady took me to a strange vet the day after she got me, and my trust evaporated. True, I might rather not have young children lugging me around, but if you are old enough to vote, I will never turn down a belly rub. So, come on in and give me a chance. I have definitely been working on my people skills lately." UPDATED JAN 30, 2011 "Almost another year at the shelter, and no chance yet to practice all I have learned, people wise. When you come to check me out, LAID BACK is the magic password. I won't raise a ruckus in your home but promise to be a quiet comfort. UPDATED DEC 20, 2011 Licorice is still waiting. She has become a bit shy but once she knows she can trust you she will never leave your side. UPDATED SEPTEMBER 30, 2012 Licorice has been with us over 2 1/2 years. She is very shy. Come Meet Our Pets...
We are open every day (365 days a year) from 4pm to 6pm for you to meet and interact with our shelter animals. If that time does not work for you give us a call and we can arrange something. Finding that perfect furever home for our shelter animals is our number one priority. We will always go above and beyond for them.

Our Adoption Process...
Adoption fees are cats $50, unaltered kittens $60, dogs $100, puppies $125.
An adoption application (either on-line at our website or at the shelter) must be filled out and approved to start the adoption process. ALL references (vet and personal) will be checked. ALL pets in your home must be current with all vaccinations and be spay/neutered. If you are approved you will be contacted by phone or email.
