I JUST HAD A COMPLETE DENTAL!
WATCH MY VIDEO! Wispy is a 4-5 year old male “teacup” size Chihuahua. He weighs a whooping 2lbs 5oz . His coat is sort of wispy with a soft wire feel to it. Wispy was rescued from the Moreno Valley animal shelter.
Wispy is a quiet, non-demanding dog that is content with the simple things in life. He likes to relax on the bed with his human. He loves to ride in the car and explore the yard a little. He likes to sit on your lap and as you can tell in his video he can be a little spunky when the mood strikes him. He gets along very well with other dogs but is really too small to play with them. He hops around making playful gestures but will become overwhelmed if the other dog wants to play with body contact. Wispy is very aware that he is a fragile guy. Wispy would be fine with another dog his size or as an only dog for someone looking to spoil him. He loves to go everywhere with his owner.
Wispy is wonderful about going potty outside on the grass and will do is business as soon as you put him down. He will also use a potty pad if it is close by. He does not lift his leg and has no interest in “male marking” when he is in the yard.
We would prefer to adopt Wispy out to a “teacup savvy” person who has experience with dogs of this size. Owning a 2.5lb dog is much different then owning a 5lb dog. Wispy is not a dog that you can walk around the block or take to a dog park. He should not be around children under 12 years. He really needs to be taken care of and looked after much like a child would.
Wispy is neutered, micro-chipped, rabies, dewormed and up to date on his vaccinations. If you would like to meet Wispy please contact Theresa at treasuredtailsrescue@hotmail.com or call 951 852-7999. Welcome to Treasured Tails Canine Rescue. We are a volunteer based all breed dog rescue focusing on Riverside County and San Bernardino County animal shelters. The dogs we save from shelters are the ones in danger of euthanasia. Highly adoptable dogs lose their lives due to many reasons. Shelter over crowding, an easily treatable medical condition or injury, a dog who is extremely shy or frightened in the shelter environment or in many cases the dog is simply in need of a make over at the groomers. Once a dog enters our rescue he/she goes into a foster home where we can get to know that dog better which allows us to match the dog up with the right family. We do this for the love of dogs.
FOSTER HOMES ARE ALWAYS NEEDED! PLEASE CONTACT FOR FURTHER INFO ON BECOMING A FOSTER FOR OUR RESCUE.
Our dogs can be seen by appointment only. If you are interested in learning more about a particular dog, please contact us at treasuredtailsrescue@hotmail.com or call 951 852-7999
Our adoption process is as follows. An adoption application needs to be filled out so we know a little more about you and your home. This helps us match the right dog up with the right family. If it looks like a good match we will set up a time where the family can meet the dog and spend time together. It is required that all members of the household and their current dogs (if any) be present during the meet and greet. If things go well and the family decides to adopt, Treasured Tails will deliver dog to its new family on a day/time agreed upon by both parties.
Adoption fee is $200-$250 and that includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies. utd vaccinations and deworm.
An adoption contract must be signed by both parties upon adoption.
Treasured Tails Canine Rescue is a volunteer based dog rescue focusing on Riverside County and San Bernardino County animal shelters. Our available dogs are in foster homes throughout Riverside County and parts of Orange County. We adopt our dogs throughout Southern Ca only.
