Coconut's Story...
Hi, my name is Coconut and I am a darling, little 8 month old doxie/chihuahua mix, which is one of those designer breeds known as a chiweenie! I weigh about 10-12 pounds, am good with kids and dogs of all sizes. I haven't been around cats much, but didn't mind them at the Adoption Fair I went to. I am learning to go on a leash and be housebroken, too! I like to cuddle and am ready to be your best friend! I am already spayed, current on shots and will be micro chipped before going home with you. My adoption donation is $200. Please call or text (925) 209-6480 or email diane@TARescue.com for more information and to meet me in person.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Coconut, a Phoenix Dachshund/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
