Lucy's Story...
Hello! My name is Lucy and I am 8-9 months old. Mom was an Aussie but I look like my dad who is a full black lab. Despite being an Aussie Shepherd/Lab mix, I am very shy and timid in the beginning but I warm up to you quickly. I am potty trained and I sleep in the crate at night. I am spending a lot of time with my fosters brother and sisters to get me used to playing with other dogs so I definitely need a canine companion in my forever home. I am a very smart girl who walks well on a leash, I know "sit and I know how to heel.

Call my foster mom, Elise at 816-898-5646 or email her at cbush86975@aol.com or you can meet me at the Petsmart at 115th and Metcalf on Saturday from 11:30 to 3:00 pm. See you then!!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Overland Park Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
