Carmen's Story...
Carmen is an 8 month old Aussie mix. She is a 23 # bundle of fun. She is playful and sweet, and has a gentle personality. She is good with children and dogs. She has the softest fur and it is long and silky on her back. Carmen had spent her whole life outside in a yard with not alot of guidence or training. She is eager to please and loves being around people now that she is inside and with her foster family. She does not chew on furniture, and is happy to chew on a bone to keep herself occupied. She has learned to walk on a leash and enjoys going for a good walk every day. She has also learned to fetch and enjoys a good game of it in the house.

Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
