McCoy's Story...
Mccoy-Black Heeler male puppy, Jan 2013

Mccoy and his brother McIver were just 2 little guys in a cold rural shelter in Dec. Looking for someone to care about them and help. The Rescue asked a foster home to open their hearts and arms to help these little brothers until they were big enough to be adopted. They said of course, and here we are now, 6 weeks later and ready to move on and find their very own families. The adoption fee for McCoy is $275 to help cover the medical expenses of getting ready for adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

McCoy, a Germantown Australian Cattle Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Germantown, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog puppy from a breeder in Germantown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Germantown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Germantown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Germantown paves the way for another one to be saved.
