Boomer's Story...
Yep - I am here and came all the way from Virginia. My family left me with our neighbors and then never came back for me! Can you believe that? Well, it's probably a good thing because I think I can have a better life. At 2 years old, I have a lot a life to live and I am ready! I am a healthy boy, weighing 76 pounds and I am what you call a pure bred Golden Retriever. I love other dogs and you human people, well I just can't get enough attention from you! My back end wiggles and wiggles with excitement when I meet new people. I do have A LOT of energy and I am working on training, I mean come on, I am 2 years old. What do you expect?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Boomer, a Danbury Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Danbury, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Danbury.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Danbury already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Danbury breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Danbury paves the way for another one to be saved.
