Clint's Story...
Clint is a one year old shepherd/border collie mix. Dogs from 'working' and 'herding' breeds such as these prove to be intelligent and companionable, focused on and sensitive to their human leaders- Clint is a fine example. His seal-sleek tricolored coat bounces light like sun striking a mirror; his ears are alert and erect, beautifully proportioned to his head and his espresso colored eyes signal his deep and thoughtful intellect, vitality and good health. An excellent companion, Clint will follow his foster mom as she moves around the house, run and play tug of war with his beagle foster
brother (with whom he will share his toys and his bed) and snuggle and nuzzle the resident cat. But he can amuse himself by chasing butterflies or imaginary friends around the yard. Clint is happiest when pleasing his humans- jogging, playing fetch, going on long walks, tumbling with youngsters, snuggling at day's end. Clint is an all American dog, whimsical, happy and full of the joy of life. He is house trained, heartworm negative and will make a great family pet for any lucky family. Adoption fee $100.00, which includes vaccinations, neuter and microchip. To request an adoption application, email Clint's foster mom at pbschoen18@gmail.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Clint, a Baton Rouge Border Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Border Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Border Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
