Fiona's Story...

Hi, my name is Fiona, and while I'm a bit timid, I try my best to get to know people even though it's a slow process. I do let people that I trust pet me though and have quite the hilarious antics playing with other cats. I need someone with a loving home to adopt me who can be patient with me as I come around on my own time.

Update Nov 2012: I'm in a foster home now, learning all the cool things about living in a house like a normal house cat. It's lots of fun and I've come a long way!

Update Jan 2013: I'm still in a foster home and my foster mom says that I am doing awesome, and that I 'throw myself' at my foster dad and human foster brother, rubbing myself all over them and loving all the attention they give me. I live with dogs, cats, and kids and do great!

Please call before driving long distancers to the shelter to make sure that any cat(s) you are interested in are still available at the shelter, or if they are in a foster home can be brought to the shelter for you to meet.

Adoption prices are:

Adults (1 year and older) $50
Single Kittens (Under 1 year) $175
Pair of Kittens (Under 1 year) $300

Adoption fees include:

Rabies vaccine
Distemper vaccines (2 or 3 depending on age)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fiona, a Webster Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Webster, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Webster.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Webster already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Webster breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Webster paves the way for another one to be saved.
