JC's Story...
This is JC. His mom is Mary; Mary was left at a shelter pregnant. Friends of Rescue took her in just days before her delivery. JC and his siblings were all born in the care of a wonderful foster home and are growing like weeds. These babies will all be available for adoption after 2/1/2012. We are doing pre-approvals and taking applications now.
JC is very cool. He likes to play, growl, and he follows his foster mom everywhere. He even already responds to his foster mom's voice. When he sleeps, nothing can wake him up - as you can tell by his cute pic! JC would make an awesome addition to any family. His mom, Mary, is a medium sized dachshund mix, but we are not sure what his dad was. What we do know is that he is one cool dude and deserves a great home! Puppies are a lot of work - so please be sure you've taken the time to educate yourself on the work involved with adding a puppy to your home.
JC will be neutered prior to adoption and up to date on his age appropriate vaccinations at the time of adoption. He will be microchipped and current on heartworm and flea prevention as well. About Our Rescue Group...
Friends of Rescue is a certified 501(c)(3) organization consisting of volunteers who are devoted to saving shelter dogs that are in danger of euthanasia. Rural Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee shelters have a constant overflow of dogs, little funding, and limited space. Once the dogs arrive at the shelter, they have very little time. It is our goal to help save these adoptable dogs and adopt them out to loving families. Although our priorities are the retriever breeds, we are not limiting ourselves to retrievers because we know that there are many great dogs that need our help. We are NOT professional trainers or animal behaviorists; simply volunteers who are trying to save these dogs from euthanasia.
