Pickles's Story...
Pickles is a loving, calm kitty, but not a lap cat (not yet anyway). He likes to “people watch” – he’ll sit and watch you.

He also likes to talk when he’s trying to tell us something (like he wants to go outside) and has a clear, strong voice.

He doesn’t mind the occasional combing out.

He likes cat toys, and loves the cat-tree.

He is buddies with Misty (grey long-haired female) and he tolerates her grooming him.

He uses a litterbox with clumping clay litter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pickles, a Sacramento Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
