My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Scout! I was born around November 21rd, 2012, and fluffy, soft and adorable! I am being cared for in a foster home in Naperville with my brother Smudge. The foster home has children who I love, love, love and am really good with. I would do best in a home with a backyard not in an apartment or condo.

I came from a high kill shelter in Kentucky. Who could imagine that such a cute guy like me could end up on death row. Lucky for me Angels on Wheels offered to rescue me so that I can grow up. No one quite knows what my breed is, but the closest they could think of is Australian Shepherd. I really am just an adorable, fluffy mutt. M foster mom says I'm a cutie! There are no kitties in my foster home, but I think I would be fine given my young age.

If you think you could love me forever and you would like to meet me, please fill out the on-line pre-adoption application at www.angelsonwheels.org. If your application looks to be a good match for me, you can then meet me at my foster mom's home in Downers Grove, IL. I can't wait to meet you! I am very small and would not be a good match for a family who is gone all day because I wouldn't like being home all day alone.

The application doesn't bind you to adopt, it just tells us about your lifestyle, and we do check references. If your applications is a good match, and it's approved, you would go to the foster mom's home in Naperville to meet him. Please be patient with the process. Angels On Wheels Animal rescue is an all volunteer rescue with jobs and families trying to save some lives. It can take a few days to process applications.

The adoption fee of $300.00 includes the neuter or spaying when old enough, microchipped, up to date on routine vaccination for Distemper-Adenovirus-Parainfluenza-Parvo, dewormed with panacur, treated with Revolution or Front-Line Plus, rabies vaccinated age appropriate, heartworm tested age appropriate, along with any other medical needed. You will also receive a free office visit to Crest Hill Cat and Dog Clinic, Woodridge Animal Hospital, Yorkville Animal Hospital, Wheaton Animal Hospital, or Midwest Animal Hospital in Orland Park a training dvd, and tons of coupons for Petco.

Please note that we are a foster based rescue and do not have a facility, which means all of our animals are cared for in homes of wonderful people who have volunteered their time to help save them.

Thank you for looking at our rescued animals and wanting to give them a wonderful home.
