My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Carly looks like she walked off the pages of a Ralph Lauren ad with her black coat and warm Carmel muzzle. This eight-year-old Shepherd mix is a sweet, quite girl who is very gentle and enjoys staying close to her human companions. She gets along swimmingly with other dogs even big ones that want to rough house a bit. We think she may have been a "back-yard" dog who didn't get the best of care. Shortly after arriving in the group’s care, “Carly” was diagnosed with two advanced tumors - one on the adrenal gland which sits on top of the kidney and one near the uterus which is invading her bladder. The rescue group’s vet did not feel that either tumor could be removed safely or completely. Carly is now in a foster home with two of the organization’s most experienced and compassionate volunteers who will make sure she is loved and comforted for as long as possible. Coming Home Rescue will continue to provide any palliative care treatment that will benefit her.
