Tessa's Story...
Why Choose me?
Tessa is a darling girl. When I first met her, she was hiding in the back of her kennel and wasn’t sure about all the noises of Animal Control. I had help getting her out, but once she was with me, I had a new friend. Tessa wanted to stay right beside me. She is a beauty with a gorgeous brindle coat and lovely amber colored eyes. Her ears are so cute. Tessa is sweet and liked being held. When Hobson, a friendly Pomeranian, passed the interaction pen, it was obvious that she wanted to play with him. She’d meet him at the fence but then quickly run back to me. She did that a few more times happily wagging her tail. Come play with Tessa today. As I passed her kennel later in the day, she was spending more time at her gate and seemed a little less frightened of her surroundings. If you don’t see her, however, ask for help getting her out. She’s a sweet girl and would love to be with you.

Act quickly to adopt Tessa. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tessa, a Athens Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Athens, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Athens.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Athens already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Athens breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Athens paves the way for another one to be saved.
