Hugh's Story...
Hugh is a fabulous treeing walker coonhound from LA. He is house trained and crate trained. He is vaccinated, wormed, neutered and heartworm negative. He is in a wonderful foster home so, once someone is approved for adoption, I will be able to put an interested party in touch with Hugh's foster mom. Hugh loves long walks but also enjoys just lying around. He is sweet and gentle. He would be a great running companion for someone. If you are unfamiliar with walker hounds, they are like large beagles or small fox hounds. Hugh is still in New Orleans but transport to the Northeast using www.rescueroadtrips.com can be easily arranged. For more information on Hugh, please contact Leslie at QueenB534@aol.com.

About Our Rescue Group...
ARF started in 2005 in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and because of the shocking treatment we saw many animals in the Deep South endure we have stayed committed to helping animals in the states of Louisiana and Mississippi. Many of these wonderful animals would be killed in a shelter if not for our continued efforts.

Our Adoption Process...
Adoption donation: $425.00 for our adult dogs 9 mos to 5 years and $325.00 for those who are older than 5 years of age. Un-neutered puppies (not fixed because they are too young) are $425.00 and neutered puppies <9mos old are $475.00. The adoption donation helps reimburse us for the vetting required to keep our animals healthy and safe, and if age-appropriate, spayed and neutered. As we rescue from the Deep South your adoption donation also helps offset the costs associated with getting your new family member home. We do require you to fill out an application and provide a vet reference, and a home inspection may be requested. Every animal we adopt MUST be spayed/neutered and we reserve the right to request proof of this. Our adoption application is on our website at: www.animalrescuefront.org
