Gretchen's Story...
This is Gretchen. She was surrendered with her daughters, Ginny and Gidget. She is a sweet, gentle girl. She came to us scared and timid, but now has really come out of her shell. She is loving and LOVES a good belly rub. Both of her daughters have been adopted, so now it's her turn. She is a Jack Russell (possibly a mix). She weighs about 15 lbs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gretchen, a Garden City Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Garden City, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Garden City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Garden City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Garden City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Garden City paves the way for another one to be saved.
