My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING ONLY: Charlotte Cocker Rescue of NC is not to be held responsible for the health or temperament of this dog. He is currently under the care of his owners who need to find him a new home ASAP.

My name is Toby and I am a very sweet, 11 years young, AKC, buff cocker spaniel boy. I am looking for a new home because my owners are having their 4th child this year and they do not have alot of time for me anymore. They feel that I deserve better, and want me to be happy in a loving home where I can share the rest of my life with someone who will love and take care of me.

I am a good boy, current on shots, neutered and I was given a clean bill of health when I was taken to the vet last November for my senior wellness exam. I do have epilepsy, but it has been maintained and controlled for years with minimal costing medicine and yearly required check-ups. I have had a good life with my family and I have never been abused. I am good with children, but at this stage of my life I am not particularly fond of playing with them. I have never been aggressive towards children or anyone who visits our home. I am a house trained cocker boy, unless I am left for an extended amount of time without being able to get outside to do my business, as I can only hold it for so long. Please do not overlook me because I am an older cocker, but rather help me to find the loving home that I deserve so that I can be a happy boy and well taken care of too. My family really wants me to be loved and receive the attention that they know I really need right now. If you can offer me a good rest of my life in a happy, loving home, that would be great. I will do best with a family who can take me on lots of walks and I would like to have a fenced backyard, so that I can spend time outdoors on a nice day. If you can provide me a good home, give me lots of attention and love and would like a wonderful cocker boy who would just love to have a nice family, then I would love to meet you! For more information, please contact my owner, Mary Neukam by sending her an email message at: mneukam@comporium.net and in the subject line, put my name so that she will know that it is about me.

Please help us to find Toby the loving home that he deserves. He is a good boy and needs love, happiness, attention, lots of walks and a fenced backyard. He will be a good companion for someone who would like to share their life with him and can give him the loving home that he deserves. Please help us to make this possible by contacting us to discuss the details as we need to get him a good home ASAP.
