Domestic Longhair Cat for adoption in Chicago, Illinois - Nicholas

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Nicholas's Info...

I am already neutered, a special needs pet, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, not good with dogs, and good with cats.

Nicholas's Story...
Nicholas is an incredibly handsome orange tabby kitty. He is a very quiet, very shy guy who sometimes prefers the company of cats to people. We are hopeful that his transition to the Bucktown Branch will help him ease up in our presence since this tends to be a calmer environment. It takes some time for Nicholas to relax, but once he does, he will accept pets. He’s even purred in the company of a trusted person or two! Move slowly when interacting with him and see how he reacts to wand petting to start. Nicholas is FIV+.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nicholas, a Chicago Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
