Frankie's Story...
"Hi there everyone...if you are looking for a very handsome Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull mix fellow, then look no further than my kennel. My name is FRANKIE, I'm just one year old. I have an absolutely beautiful white coat with sandy-colored markings, and the most beautiful eyes you have ever seen. I'm extremely friendly, a lot of fun, and active. I'd make a great pet in an active home with older children. I get along nicely with other dogs, and my dog walkers say that I'm getting better every day at walking on a leash. I enjoy getting brushed, too. In my new forever home, I'd love to have a nice yard where I could enjoy myself and get some exercise, and I'd also love to have one of those comfy and snuggly dog beds in the house, so that I can stay close to my person or my family. The shelter staff isn't sure if I'm house trained, but I'd love to learn "the ropes" with your patient, loving guidance. A trip to our shelter wouldn't be complete until we've had an opportunity to meet and get acquainted, so just ask one of our very kind Shelter Staff to introduce you to the incredibly handsome dog whose name is FRANKIE, and we just might discover that we are meant to be best friends "FUR"EVER. Night time is a very special time here at the shelter, because it very quiet and that is when all of the animals share their hopes and dreams about finding a wonderful forever home. Who knows...I just might be that wonderful dog that you have always wanted and dreamed about. Won't you help me make my dreams come true for a new forever home with you? You can bet that I'll be watching and waiting for you. Hope to see you real soon, and let's have some fun! Love, Frankie" Kennel #65

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Frankie, a El Cajon Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
