My basic info
Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Fruitcaique is a 13 year old Black Headed Caique. She talks up a storm saying things like "hello fruitcaique", "love you", "pretty bird", "come here", "fruitcaique pretty bird" and she laughs! She loves to sit on her cage and talk. She is a mans bird for sure, although with some work and dedication, she may warm up to a woman. She currently will not allow me (a woman) to touch her, but but she is more trusting with my husband - although she can bite when feeling scared or unsure - so she will need some work in the trust and handling department. She was on a seed diet before and now she is on pellets, and lots of fruits with some veggies. She likes fresh fruits and veggies in the morning (along with her pellets) and oatmeal as a treat at night. Fruitcaique does have some over-grooming issues, but we feel that since she is now on the right diet and getting plenty of socialization and toy/play time, that we may be able to get this habit to stop. So if you have bird experience and a lot of patience, Fruitcaique may be the bird for you!

Pionus, Amazons, Miniature Macaws (Hahns, Severe, Illigers, Yellow-Collared), Small Cockatoos (Goffins, Bare-Eyes): $275
Eclectus Parrots: $325
Large (other) Cockatoos (M2′s, U2′s, Sulfur Crested, etc...), African Greys: $400
Large (other) Macaws (B&G’s, Scarlet’s, Greenwing’s, etc..): $500
