Oliver Twist's Story...
I came to AWLMC from the Montgomery County Humane Society. I was found as a stray. I am a very handsome black and white cat. My fur is kind of looks marbled and has some brown in it too. I am a super sweet boy. I have complete trust in you, and will roll over on my back at your feet wherever you may be in hopes you will pet me. I am a super snuggler! I want to be as close to you as possible when we sit or sleep together. I like to talk, especially in the mornings and have a certain meow when I am hungry. I am still very kitten like and love to play with any wand toy. If you are willing I will play for hours. At my foster family’s home I also loved to play on the steps. I like sitting in the window watching the birds and squirrels. I love people and give head bumps to show you how much I appreciate you. I don’t like to be left alone. I prefer to have some company most of the time. I like to be held and carried. Nothing really bothers me; I just want to find my forever loving home. I was born in 2011.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oliver Twist, a Gaithersburg Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Gaithersburg, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Gaithersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gaithersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gaithersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gaithersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
