Squiggley QUIGGLEY was abandoned by his owners one winter day, they tied him to a fence out side the rescue overnight. We woke up one morning and there he was. With a rusted chain clipped around his neck the other end hitched to our corner post. We can only imagine the life he had before, loud noises & quick movements cause him to just cower to the ground. He craves love & affection, will try to get in your lap at every possible opportunity, he thinks he is only a 20lb lap dog, although he weighs 65lbs. Now that he has experienced life indoors, he hates being outside by himself. He likes to go out to get his "zoomies" out & play with some toys. He loves long walks in the fields with the training lead line (he needs some practice with his leash training, a life on a chain causes him to pull a bit). When he is done with outside time he is quick to run to the door and "knock" to let you know he is ready to come inside. HE LOVES HIS CRATE!! It is his bedroom/den, we often find him just sitting init even when the door is open. He is learning to socialize with other dogs, but prefers to be by himself, which is common for a dog who's previous life was that of isolation at the end of a chain. QUIGGLEY is very loyal, loves to be around people. We guess him to be approx. 2yrs old (as of 12/2012), so he still has a bit of puppy-ness about him. He has a perfect English Bulldog Corkscrew Tail...the vets have xrayed it and determined that it was not cut off or a birth defect...if it were on a purebred English Bulldog it would be perfect.
He is absolutely stunning when you see him in person. Please consider giving Quiggley a FURever loving home!!
