Lightning's Story...
Lightning is a 1-year-old fawn, male pug who has a wonderfully puggy face, a playful curiosity for everything around him, and a quirky lack of coordination that makes him look like an excited puppy or a little bucking bronco. He also has a quirky, high voice that squeaks out at unexpected times, like when he’s chewing a rawhide or bobbing and weaving across the room. Despite his unpredictable movements and sounds, Lightning is immediately endearing and wants to be on friendly terms with people and dogs alike. He’s quite polite with good house manners, and would never even think of lifting his leg in your home. Because he’s been neglected in his first year, Lightning is currently underweight, heartworm positive, and has demodectic mange. However, he is receiving care for these treatable conditions and will have a fuller coat and meatier frame soon. This kind and loving little fellow needs a family who wants to pamper him forever. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lightning, a Austin Pug dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug for sale in Austin, or seeking a Pug dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug breeders who help with Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
