Rabbit's Story...
location: Miami, FL
Rabbit is a 6 year old sweetheart who prefers to be on 2 legs instead of 4, or even better - on a LAP! She has gorgeous brown eyes and loves to stare right into your soul. Rabbit is good with other dogs and doesn't pay any attention to the cats in her foster home. She is crate-trained and walks great on a leash. We are working on basic obedience, and she will sit when asked nicely, but she pops right back up and stands on her 2 rear legs; her name fits her so well! Rabbit loves to jump up to say "Hi", and she will jump right into your arms. In some of her pictures she looks like a cartoon character, she's so funny! She weighs 18 pounds. Rabbit has gotten very attached to her fostermom already, and is very polite to the 15 year old boy in the household as well. She sits by her fostermom's feet (or on her lap) when she's on the computer. Rabbit is very curious, and quick & nimble on her feet. She loves going on long walks, but by far her favorite thing to do is hop and jump like a "rabbit". Rabbit is being fostered in Miami, FL. She will make someone VERY happy, since she is super duper sweet! To see all of Rabbit's photos, please click here.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rabbit, a Jacksonville Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Jacksonville, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Jacksonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacksonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacksonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacksonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
