Sookie's Story...
Good day! I'm Sookie. I'm an 8-9 month old beagle/hound/terrier mix. I weigh less than 20lbs and the vet says I won't get much bigger! Can you believe that when the pound contacted my owners to come get me, the came and took my collar and left me there to die? It made me so sad because I'm a very sweet girl who loves to be a lap dog. I'm also doing very well with the potty business. My foster mom is happy that I've only had one accident in the house! I like playing with her dogs and I met some cats at the pet store and they kind of scared me. I'm a super sweet girl who would LOVE a forever home to call my own. Available now!. About Our Rescue Group...
A strictly volunteer licensed corporation, not for profit, Adopt A Pup was established in 2012 and is dedicated to saving homeless, stray, and unwanted dogs not only in Michigan but throughout the Midwest. In its first month as an active rescue, Adopt A Pup has rescued and/or rehomed 25 dogs and puppies. We are not for profit. Our founders and members all have full time jobs in addition to the rescue. We promote sterilization and awareness of the plight of shelter dogs all over the country.

Serious adopters must submit an Adoption Application, undergo a reference and home check, and if approved, pay an adoption fee that ranges between $150--$250. The adoption fees vary based on how much our rescue has invested in the dog.
