Jackie's Story...
Jackie is a super sweet lab mix that was rescued from a rural animal shelter. She is about one year old and has been living in a foster home for several weeks. Jackie is calm in the house, even with other dogs around, and has very nice house manners. She is house-trained and crate-trained! She loves to be outside and chase balls! She has good leash skills, knows 'sit' and is very smart .... just waiting for a forever home. Jackie is great with other dogs and she will make some lucky person a great companion. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jackie, a Richmond Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
