Jessie Chihuahua is on patrol! She is keeping her eye on the squirrels in the backyard. Rarely barking, but ever vigilant, she runs around ensuring that her foster home is safe from squirrels! Jessie is about 2 years old and weighs 8 pounds. She has beautiful chocolate fur with a white blaze, light brown trim, and some brindle markings as well. Her brown eyes stare deeply into your soul as she asks for pets and snuggles. She and her son, Jake, are very happy to be inside dogs, as they spent their first months outside with only a heat lamp and plastic tub to keep them warm. They have adjusted to the plush life and love to run in and out of the dog door to watch those squirrels and do their personal business.

Jessie was a shy girl when she came to her new foster home, but has warmed up in only a week and now seeks out her foster family—furry and human. Jessie appears to be mostly housebroken with very few mistakes since she arrived. She is working on leash training. She is friendly with children and other dogs. We are not sure about cats. Jessie is spayed, micro chipped, up-to-date on shots, HW negative and on heartworm prevention. She is ready to join a loving family - could that family be yours?
