This is Samantha. She is a young adult purebred female German Shepherd.
This pretty girl is about 1.5 yrs old and currently weighs around 70 lbs. Samantha is doing very well on her training; we are working on people manners and housemanners with her. She is crate trained and keeps her crate clean and dry. We feel that it will be an easy step for her to complete her housetraining.
She has completed a basic obedience course and is doing very well. Sam walks well on a leash and LOVES to go for walks. Sam likes to play fetch with her favorite Teaser Ball toy and sometimes plays fetch with a tennis ball. Her favorite play companion is a foster dogs named Drake, a 1 yr old Rottweiler mix male, about the same size as her. She loves a good race me - chase me game and a little bit of light wrestling. We think Sam would do well in a home
with another large breed compatible male dog or might also do well as someone's good companion and single dog. We have done a home visit with Sam with cats; she was pretty concerned that the cat might come after her and wasn't too sure about trusting cats. Ha! Thus, we think that Sam could be trained to do okay in a home with cats. Of course, a meet and greet would tell us more how she might do with your current family pet(s).
We think that Sam will make an excellent companion for some lucky person and family. She loves to follow you around and help you with your current projects and be included in part of your daily routine. She likes any attention that you can give her and she tries hard to please. Like any dog, Sam would do well with someone who is committed to continue to work with her in her training. She is already spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped.
