Taylor's Story...
Wow, what a happy, wiggly girl we have in the beautiful Taylor. A real beauty, Taylor is estimated to be about 3 years old and was found as a stray. This dazzling girl seems to just love everyone she meets. And who doesn't love Taylor? She is a compact muscle- butt girl with a zest for life. She adores being around you, shaking her booty in excitement at your mere presence. Taylor knows the sit command and since she is very treat motivated, should be a very eager student in training classes. She loves going for walks and runs but will benefit from some leash training. Taylor really enjoys her time off- leash in the play yard, playing fetch and she's great at catching the Frisbee. Taylor would love a family of her own and if she had her own yard to play in that would get along well with other doggy friends as she practices her play bows as she meets her friends on leash and she and Bosco really hit it off at a recent outreach. So come meet Taylor today and fall in love with this stunner!

Our Adoption Process...
When you come in to adopt it is an application process. You will need to fill out the application; upon approval you will need proof of homeownership, mortgage, tax, or sewer bill. If you rent your home, you will need a copy of your lease showing it is ok for you to have pets. If it is not in your original signed lease you will need to get a notarized letter from your landlord. Cat adoption fees are $75.00 plus $50.00 for the spay/neuter. Dog adoption fees vary. Please feel free to call the office with any question; we are here 7 days a week for adoptions between 12pm and 5pm.

The Associated Humane Societies, founded in 1906, is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey. We comprise three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls . Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park Zoo. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park Zoo is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.

The Society is a not for profit, 501 (c) 3 organization, and Popcorn Park is also a federally licensed zoo. The Society prides itself on our devotion to the thousands of animals that we care for annually and the chance for a better life we offer them. Please learn more about the Society and Popcorn Park Zoo throughout our web site, watch A Century of Caring, visit the zoo, public service, giving back, and the various programs we have for them. Come back often ... good things are always happening because AHS cares!

To understand how funds are utilized to help the many animals in our care, read our federal form 990 for charitable organizations and our audited financials.
